Chigvintsev Arrested in Los Angeles
On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 'Dancing with the Stars' professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Chigvintsev was arrested at his home in Los Angeles after his wife, Nikki Bella, called 911 to report a domestic violence incident.
Chigvintsev Released on Bond
Chigvintsev was booked into jail and released on $50,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on December 12, 2022.
Bella Files for Divorce
Following Chigvintsev's arrest, Bella filed for divorce.
The couple, who married in 2019, have a two-year-old son, Matteo.
Chigvintsev's Statement
In a statement to Us Weekly, Chigvintsev said that he is "deeply sorry" for the incident.
"I am fully cooperating with the investigation and I am committed to getting the help I need," he said.
Bella's Statement
In a statement to People magazine, Bella said that she is "heartbroken" by the incident.
"I am focused on my children and taking care of myself," she said.
